Certificates & Transcripts
Below you will find details and information on how to obtain your degree documents whether you have recently been awarded or require a replacement document. If you do not find what you are looking for please contact the Student Records team on 0161 295 0023 or by email SA-StudentRecords@salford.ac.uk.
Certificates are printed and distributed within 6 weeks, following confirmation of an award at an examination board. However, at peak times of the academic year, this may take longer.
If you require an academic confirmation letter whilst your certificate is being printed and distributed, please email SA-StudentRecords@salford.ac.uk
As degree certificates are legal documents, only one per student can be in circulation at any one time, therefore you will only ever have one original certificate and if this is lost or damaged, you can purchase a replacement.
Please note that if you have any outstanding debts we will withhold your certificate until your debt is settled in full. For further information, please contact the Income & Treasury Team on 0161 295 0023 or by email by email Income-Treasury@salford.ac.uk .
If you fail to notify us within 12 calendar months of your award date that you have not received your certificate, you will be charged for a replacement
PLEASE NOTE: Your certificate will be sent to your registered permanent home address at the time of printing. It is your responsibility to keep your address updated via the self-service portal which can be accessed here.
If you have a permanent registered address in the UK your certificate will be posted directly to this UK address.
If your permanent registered address is outside of the UK, you will receive an email when your certificate is ready. The email will ask you to complete a form requesting how you would like to receive your certificate:.
- Collection by yourself
- By DHL express delivery
- Collection by a named friend. In order to do this you will need to complete the following form. You will be contacted when your certificate is ready to be collected.
If you do not request collection or the DHL service, your certificate will posted by airmail, to your permanent registered address within 6 weeks of your award and we cannot accept responsibility if it is lost.
If you have recently been awarded a qualification you are probably keen to receive your graduation certificate and transcript. At this point you will receive an email (at your University email address) from firstname.lastname@example.org advising of your options for receiving your graduation certificate and academic transcript.
The University aims to dispatch your academic transcript within 12 weeks of you receiving your award certificate. Your transcript will be sent to your registered home permanent address, please ensure your address is correctly recorded via the University's self-service system
If you fail to notify us within 12 calendar months of your award date that you have not received your Transcript, you will be charged for a replacement.
There is a £15 administration fee for the re-issue of an academic transcript .
If you have not received your transcript within 12 weeks of receiving your certificate, please email SA-StudentRecords@salford.ac.uk stating your student ID number and the course you studied. .
